so u mean to say there can never be/should not be a representing thing...tht ppl shd look at and feel proud of ..as he/she/it belongs to the roots/sect of the ppl.
all they should be..is inspiration to themselves and keep to themselvs with their opinions and behave as per own wishes...without social conscience..

You do what is right for you. Don't impose your opinions on others....According to me, feeling proud of some random individual is lacking confidence and sorta self approval that you will probably never reach there....or not.

One can always appreciate and wish them on their success and come back to his own personal life to take care of it.

I did not miss it. i have complete clarity over the feelings. Being proud is definitely a feeling...and who denied that? why are u changing the topic? the whole problem is feeling proud about some random person. Having seen your conversation with Bathibottlebiscuit..I do realize, you do have good vocabulary..Having said that ..I strongly oppose your thinking.. What about people feeling proud when India won the world cup , did they play the game NO, did they sacrifice family time NO, but still everyone felt proud of the fact that India competed with other countries and won. That I guess transcends to everything in life according to me.. I see him as a guy who was not born in this country and competed with other american nationals in every frontier of his life to reach where he is now..There is nothing wrong in appreciating it and taking something from it..
