Applicants need to be able to speak basic English or French. They need not prove they will create any jobs.

Some are more fluent in English than others. Some are much more intelligent than others. A few are creative, many are less creative than their American counterparts whom I taught. Be prepared for a big increase in cheating in your schools and smoking. Be prepared for applicants who are often far more sure of themselves than they are capable. Expect applicants to be creative with the truth on their resumes and when being interviewed. If any start small businesses by buying out an existing owner, especially if the business is a small shop, be prepared for the original employees (who often were why people shopped there) to gradually leave or be fired and replaced with relatives of the new owner. I have seen all this in our local colleges, workplaces, and small local shops. You are welcome to many of our current entrepenurs. A few of their companies are truly successful. However, if you name the top companies in Silicon Valley that immediately spring to mind as successful (at least for many years), all were founded by Americans or an American and a north European. Think of Apple, Google, Intel, HP, Varian, Facebook. None was founded by someone from Asia, especially India or China.
