I did that. The mechanic said NO to each and every car that I got checked.

buddy i do not know ur situation.

I give u some probabilities find the best for u

1. If u on opt 1 project lot of loan, then go for rental cars for few months. If project is good u position is safe then get a certified car from dealer
in the mean while search some car 8k to 12k in craigslist.

2. If u r in opt full time job (education loan unna leakapoina). Get a new car.

3. If u r in opt job is ok no loan. Then still go for a certified car 12k- 14k wait for H1B or stamping.

4. If no visa issues, no job issues, no money problem, Then maki kirikiri

book a Jag or infinity sports or as usual Audi A6 fully loaded.

PS this is my mind set. may or may not be applicable to u .

If opt/job/settled.....best certified or brand new one konuko.....3k cars tho padalevu job chesthu...

if u r opt and job safe foratleast 1 year go for brand new car..

if job is temporary and visa issues go for certified dealer car..

try to spend 10-15k for car..take finance....and check with apr..with different bank..like DCU,PENFED,BOA..
