Biggest disadvantage of Telangana will be, it'll be landlocked.

coal, water ivanni problems ee kavu, if Coastal andhra learn to use the water that will be allocated to them after river sharing committee meeting. They'll need to discard water intensive farming and turn to manufacturing.

Huge coast, deep water ports will help Andhra bounce back very fast. Also there's a chance of offshore oil/gas wells if they look deep enough.

Ofcourse, these are all just possibilities.

Just look at Krishnapatnam, and how fast it was built. Today its the largest container port in the east coast. Bigger than even Chennai port.

i am nost sure if you are aware of the logistics involved in facilitating irrigation to high level areas with the kind of infra that India has right now...

I want separate Vizag man, thats it
[/quote]

I like this idea. In the future, cities will be more powerful and compete against each other than countries.

And Vizag with its port, is a much better bet than Hyd in the long run. There can be atleast one more deep water mega container port in Vizag.

If only someone takes care of stubborn people in the Indian navy who put roadblocks to development of vizag. I meant only the city, ofcourse.

I'm against irrigation. India produces too much anyway.

If Telangana wants to waste money to lift water for irrigation, let them waste it. Although I hope they come up with less water intensive industries along that belt with recycled water. It's definitely doable.

I'm of the view that Andhra region has nothing to lose in case of division, except the infra investments made in Hyd. a couple of other cities in Andhra, rayalseema should be provided with equal level of investments, which under the current economic climate seems impossible.
