[/quote] first read the document(link u post earlier) them... but it is always advisable ..to have Oracle installed in ur local PC... more over how much knowledge u have on Oracle...

DB URL , DB name , UID and password to Dev env. and asked to install oracle client(say there is no todd in ur company) and connect to Database and browse tables and procedures what u r going to do? can install client and connect to Database? do u know how to proceed?

[/quote] if u look @ client once u will know how easy it is u will find an option to connect to DB there u will see options for URL and uid/pwd then u will be taken to the Database in the explorer u will see option from tables.procesdures/functions etc... right to add/modify like that...pretty straight FWD but u need to do at least once
