i have been researching about TV's for a while. From my research, Panasonic Viera TC-p50st50 (2012 model, TC-P50st60 2013 model) is the best bet. It is the TV that is highly rated ever by CNET. The only thing is it is PLASMA(probably for a good reason). Do not be misinformed(like most of us do) that PLASMA is the old technology and LED is the latest. PLASMA,LCD and LED are different technologies- each serves a different purpose. PLASMA TV's produce highest picture quality when compared to LCD/LED. The only downside is it is little heavy(not too much).

The price on this is close to $1000. It has all the media features that all other modern TV's offer. It also has 3d. There is another model by Panasonic. It is TC-p50U50. It has exceptional picture quality for under $1000 dollars but it hasn't got any media features. If you want media features, then go with tc-p50st50. I am going to buy it in few days. I always look for best picture quality in a TV.

Try googling for TV's from other manufacturers. let me know if you find a better one. Thanks.
