mahesh1 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Report Posted February 7, 2015 Nagole Mettuguda Metro Rail works nearing completion Staircase, ramps, lifts and other facilities at five of the Metro Rail stations namely Habsiguda, NGRI, Survey of India, Uppal and Nagole are in place on the Nagole-Mettuguda stretch of the Metro Rail project. Work on other stations in Tarnaka and Mettuguda are going on at a frantic pace. 70% of retail space is booked 70% of the work has been completed in 80% of the stretch According to a senior Metro Rail official, cementing, concreting, fixing escalators and developing footpaths are being taken up. “More than 70 per cent of the work has been completed in 80 per cent of the stretch. In the next fifteen days, work on the remaining areas too would be completed,” said an official. “Greenery between pillars would be completed once the footpath work gets over,” says an official. The distance between stations would be one km and all the stations will have stores. 70 per cent of the retail space has already been booked. The stations have three levels, the retail stores would be on the second level which would be a non-paid level and accessible to all even without tickets.
