Baabai...puttinapati nunchi tennis choosthunna...Roger Federer is a copy of Kuerten aa?? Rafa is a copy of Alberto Berasategui aa?? Naaayanooo...this analogy explains ur knowledge...plz tennis gurinchi inkaa maatladaku bhayyaa...
[/quote]

nuvvu ekkuva feel avvaku.

I said Berasategui has the same kind(even more extreme grip actually) of forehand Nadal has, which is his only uniqueness as a player. Berasategui had a beautiful attacking game compared to his boring Nadal's.

As for as Kuerten, his movement is so similar to Federer. His backhand was miles better, and he doesn't spend hours talking about his own game.. haha.. like Federer does.

If you want, raa vizag ki velaithe, oka tennis match veskundaamu.

I stopped watching tennis 5 yrs back. its too boring now.

the word 'legend' gets easily thrown around these days.

Tennis is an overburnt sport, totally out of a fresh angle. Every player you see these days is a carbon copy of some earlier player.

Nadal was special because of his forehand, and even there I can point to a similar player named Alberto Berasategui who made french open finals in the mid 90s.

His success and results are irrelevant to my assessment of his game. As success in tennis these days is more about a good fitness regime, attitude on court, than any particular tennis skill. Those days have passed. Tennis is boring. Nadal is among the prime reasons who made it so with his defensive game.

btw, Federer is a copy of Gustavo Kuerten, a former world no.1. I loved tennis when players had different styles. These days no one is unique. Everyone plays the same way.

Except Richard Gasquet. For his blistering one handed backhand.

what do you mean by copy?...do you think its easy to play like or copy anyone they want to.....every human is different and their reaction to particular situation is different....

" As success in tennis these days is more about a good fitness regime, attitude on court, than any particular tennis skill"...after this statement i have nothing more to say....coz i can say whatever i want sitting in front of fking computer coz its easy..

so you say that i can hire a world class tennis coach who can design a good fitness regime and copy one of legends..thats it world no1....give me a break

'copy' doesn't mean they copied some player's styles. It means they are a copy of a bunch of players with nothing unique to contribute by themselves.

given the astounding regularity that top 4 win matches these days, its safe to assume that tennis is no longer about skill, but about access to top facilities for the most part. Unless you are adamant that top4 are more talented than others :) They are not.

top 4/5 are not challenged by top 15. They already have a mentally resigned to losing to the top4. More importantly they don't have the drive too. But here, I'm talking about what a player brings in to enrich tennis as a game.

new entrants like Grigor Dimitrov have no chance against this era's top players.

I used to follow junior tournaments way back to mark particular players and try and bet on their success. After 2005, their quality has come down too. Tennis is a joke now. Simple.

They call this a golden age. But for me, its a boring age. Federer atleast plays attacking, attractive tennis. The rest are horrible to watch. Some days Murray is okay.

i feel sorry for you man...that u r not njoying the game anymore....but how can you say that young players dont have a chance aganist top4...
tsonga is seeded 6 and he is good and defeated every one from top 4 .....few years back tsonga was seeded 20...he was young then..now he is 6....final ga cheppedi enti ante people in top 20 cannot win in first attempt....tennis is more like fine tuning your gameplay according to rival....they need to fine tune their gameplay when playing against top 4 ..the more they play top 4..the more thier chances to win...
