· Ability to work with Business Analyst to translate business requirements into design documents
· Understanding of ETL concepts related to interfaces and/or data warehouses and marts ( star schemas, dimensional and fact tables).
· Ability to develop documentation to align with our ETL standards.
· Knowledge of ETL development standards and best practices
· Knowledge of slowly changing dimensions
· Ability to perform code reviews
· Ability to write unit test cases that align with development changes.
· Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
· Perform technical and data analysis based on requirements to understand development impacts.
· Ability to write database queries and stored procedures.
· Experience with working with relational databases Ex: SQL Server & Oracle.
· Knowledge of FTP scripting & Unix scripting
· Knowledge of Scheduling Tools (Autosys)

ETL Applications Developer
Duration: 5 – 6 months
Location: Dearborn MI

Basic Function:
This is a full-time role for 5 – 6 months. The role for this candidate will be to perform requirements analysis, mapping, design, development, testing and implementation of ETL processes to extract source data from multiple source systems to support ACG initiatives, primarily of Automotive Services Data Mart project.

Candidate will be responsible for source data mapping, high-level and detailed design specifications, creating / modifying ETL code using Informatica 9.1.1 and related integration tools. Candidate will also support testing of existing maps and workflows and remediation of any issues identified.

Specific Responsibilities:[list]
[*]Develops Informatica mapping designs.
[*]Develops Data Integration Workflows and load processes.
[*]Ensures adherence to locally defined standards for all developed components.
[*]Performs data analysis for both Source and Target tables/columns.
[*]Provides technical documentation of Source and Target mappings.
[*]Supports the development and design of the internal data integration framework.
[*]Participates in design and development reviews.
[*]Works with System owners to resolve source data issues and refine transformation rules.
[*]Ensures performance metrics are met and tracked.
[*]Writes and maintains unit tests and supports system / user acceptance tests.
[*]Conduct QA Reviews.

Required Skills:
§ Minimum of 3 years Informatica PowerCenter (8.1.1and/or 9.1.1) design and development.
§ Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripts
§ DB2 (mainframe and UDB/ESE)
§ Oracle
§ Complex SQL
§ Experience in developing programming specification from business requirements
§ Experience in developing and executing unit and system test plans
§ Strong written and verbal communication skills
§ Strong customer relationship skills to include development of business requirements, review of test data and problem resolution.


Preferred Skills:
§ Experience on mainframe, JCL, CA7, Endevor, Dimensions.
§ Visio.
§ Performance tuning.
§ Experience with Call Center and Emergency Roadside Services business processes / data.


Project Description:
The project will be building processes to support Automotive Services Data Mart project which involves integrating data from several Call center, Automotive Services, Finance and HR applications into Automotive Services Data Mart. Project scope involves integrating additional data sources and tables into an existing data mart, establishing a common data repository for two company divisions that currently maintain separate systems and data, and upgrading hardware/BI software to next generation release. Planned project end date is end of December 2013. Project timeline and deliverable dates will be established by ACG management.
