Ikkada 10 years Java/J2EE/JEE experience.
5 years in India and 5 in UK. UK vochina daggaranunchi Investment Banking looki enter kaavaali ani try cheesthunna. Reason: They pay double salary than the same role in other industries.

Investment Banking is the whole & Sole of UK. You find 60-70% of jobs in UK are only available in London.
And 90% of them are in Investment Banking.

Previous Investment Banking exp. leekunda aa Industry looki enter kaavaalante its ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE.
Already this field is saturated with Desis(mostly Telugus) who themselves find it difficult to get good contract rates as of now (I mean 400-500 per day that they used to get). Most of them settled with 70k-80k per annumon permanent roles. You woud wonder how come its bad salary, yes it is if you compare that with pre-recession levels.

Coming to point, if you want to enter into this domain there is CITI(BANK) in Belfast or some in Leeds and Yorkshire. They only will recruit without Invst.banking exp. Those in London(Canary Wharf) will not recruit people without Inv.Ban exp.
There are lots of Telugus in CITI, get hold of them and get your CV forwarded. Or else always keep on looking for jobs in Belfast (via JobServe)

P.S: No need to say - you should be very good at core competencies even to clear first round. For ex. if you are in Java, you should be very good at Multi-threading. Same is case with .NET
You should know High-Volume, Highly-transactional and low-latency applications.

Can give you more info if you want.

Hi there
I am not sure how it would be if you are not a techie. I have posted my comments assuming that you are also a default prototype like so many our Teluguites.( Java, .NET. DWH, SAP, blah blah ......)
I am sure that having a Degree or two cant improve your job prospects especially if its in Investment Banking. If you have already one it would be fine. Otherwise there is not point in again doing another Masters Course as it would only add another 10k+ to your debts. Try if your existing employer can support your education.

I am trying to show-off some Investment Banking exp. but biggest problem is that they have got a Security Clearance System for all of such banks. So an employer will first check that SC Code issued by previous employer....thats it ....as simple.

sorry maams, I cant help you in this regard.
