Car Registration(State A), Driver License (Stateb), Income Tax Where?

Car Registration in one state (x) and Driver license in another state(y).

so can anybody tell me where do i pay income tax (state x or state y)?

i mean state income tax.........not federal income tax..

car is stored in another state(x).......just renewal needed......dont earn anything here in this state(x)

moved to another state(y).......where i will get address proof and so want to renew driver license in this state(y)......i dont need my car since i prefer using transit...here only i earn some what......so do i need to pay in this state(y)

i think he means where to pay state income tax not car sales tax or use fee. good question but answers are intrigue.

There is no relation with your car registration with your income tax(either state or federal)
Just check your payslip.Your employer will deduct state tax and pay you.Just pay state tax accordingly !
BTW i have 2 cars,1 registered in state A and other in state B.But I live in state C and work in State D
But I pay income tax in state C ,where I live
