[b]Raviteja was decent with his act, he excelled in his trademark comedy scenes with brahmi and sruthi hasan . He looked good in the beard getup in flashback.[/b]

[b]Others:[/b]

[b]Sruthi hasan was gorgeous and her performance was okay. Anjali was fine . . Lakshmi rai appears in the first song as herself. [/b][size=3][b]Brahmi once again entertained, his gangnam dance with sruthi hassan got huge response. Ali came and went. Prakash raj was perfect in a key role and he added value to the role/film with his presence. Ashuthosh rana was alright. Adivi sesh ,Brahmaji, Aditya menon were present in short roles. Nazar, shekar , raghubabu and others were okay in their roles .[/b][/size]

[size=3][b]Story - Screenplay -Direction :[/b][/size]

[size=3][b]Story is simple and routine. Director gopichand mallineni concentrated more on comedy throughout the film. Screenplay for first half is very good, it starts on a dull note, but picks up after that and entertains for the most of the time. Interval episode was very good. second half flashback episode was not handled properly, as said above director did not gave importance to emotional depth. only few scenes were good in the flashback as raviteja 's comedy speech in hospital . But again comedy worked towards the climax , hero and villain gang dancing to the IPL jumping japang dance was hilarious. [/b][/size]

[size=3][b]Other Departments: Dialogues were good in comedy scenes but they were not effective in serious scenes. They concentred too much on "praasa". Camera work was good, Editing was okay. Music by thaman is a weak link for the film, only last song was good on screen and also BGM is a complete letdown. Fights went overboard.[/b][/size]

[size=3][b]Analysis: Balupu is an average movie, has all the ingredients for a commercial movie. A better screenplay in second half and music would have helped the movie, but still it 's a once watchable movie for it's comedy.[/b][/size]
