Look at the squabbles taking place in the BJP now. The Gujarat CM is not a secular person, nor is the BJP so. This is an advantage to secular parties like the Congress. Elections and results depend on the equations prevailing at that particular moment. A leader cannot be judged solely by results. Even big leaders like NTR and [url="http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/topic/Atal-Bihari-Vajpayee"]Atal Bihari Vajpayee[/url] lost. That does not mean one is weak. Many factors influence elections. [b]One factor is YSR Congress rebel Jaganmohan Reddy's popularity, especially in Andh-ra's coastal and Rayalaseema regions. You attacked Jagan's late father, Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's regime, over corruption - why hasn't this had much impact?[/b] The people's sentiments will not remain loyal to Jaganmohan Reddy once the dust settles. They cannot escape from what they have done - looting the state. There is a rethink happening among people. We are trying to educate them about what happened and i'm sure Congress will win the elections. You saw the Karnataka elections where people gave a perfect answer to corruption - it will happen in Andhra too. [b]What is your take on Chandrababu Naidu becoming visible again?[/b] No matter how strongly Chandrababu Naidu tries to revive the TDP, he will remain discredited. He did not prove to be a people's leader. People know that Naidu is focussed on the rich - he is pro-rich and pro-World Bank. He did not do justice to the poor, to farmers and the downtrodden. He was known as the CM of Hyderabad, not of Andhra Pradesh. [b]But why have you been critical of Andhra's current CM, Kiran Reddy?[/b] He is doing fine, the schemes he is introducing are encouraging - but the process of implementation has to be more effective. Everything depends on how much he takes other leaders into confidence. He has to coordinate further. He has to resolve problems with others. He is young and i hope he will do it for the party.
