Can the panchayat polls make any difference to ‘T’? Many senior politicians are of the opinion that the CM to an extent has blocked the political process of bifurcation of the state. AICC state affairs in-charge Digvijay Singh has pronounced that there are only two options left before the Congress Government with regard to Telangana either keep the stated united or divide it. And he has also made it crystal clear that the creation of Rayala Telangana or offering a financial package to Telangana is definitely not a part of Congress high command’s agenda. Meanwhile the CM, Deputy CM Damodara Rajanarasimha and PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana have been directed to submit their respective reports on T at the core committee meeting. And as we already know that CM is against the division of the state while the Deputy CM is the protagonist of Telangana and will go with a pre-judged stand of dividing the state. Thus, the committee will most likely consider Botsa’s road-map on the issue. Owing to the election code Telangana issue might be thwarted and political experts feel Kiran has intentionally hurried the arrangements for the panchayat elections. But the Telangana leaders look unperturbed and are in fact confident that the panchayat polls will not affect ‘T’ in anyway.
