I'm currently reading this book by SN Balagangadhara

I believe it has answers to many of your questions, and tries to formulate a path to understanding indian social system through Indian experiences, and avoid using western constructs like socialism and communism.

His earlier book, I believe, challenges the reader to come up with alternatives to west's telling of Indian history to Indians, by trying to tell west's story through our eyes.

Simply put, his argument is that there's not enough empirical evidence for most of what passes today as social sciences and indians have a great opportunity to weigh in with knowledge of their own experience once they get over their colonial hangover. He's trying to build a framework for such a process to start. His work is very interesting.

The last time we had this discussion, you weaseled out of it claiming that Hindus should play second fiddle to cult worshippers coz we aren't united nor have enough numbers. I hope you've realised that you're essentially asking Hindus to give up and join communists, who'll sell Hindu interests to the highest bidder in a blink of an eye.
