Do you own a car other than a rental ? if yes call your insurance company -- it is covered.... Did you use a credit card? If yes call your credit card company and they take care of it .. in some cases you have to pay and they will reimburse you... mast of the times car companies doesn't check while returning .. don't worry unless it is too big..

Call to your insurance company about the damage that it is "Hit n Run".......Usually it depends on your deductable amount....usually it is $500.......The remaining insurance pays......Good thing is that it doesnt go aganist your driving record......It happened twice for me in an year .... "Hit n Run " scenario

First thing First .....call a cop and get an accident number........Your insurance comapny might ask the accident number!!

In most cases Amex Visa and Mastercard will cover the damage for the car in the rental period. But you need to pay the rent until the repair was done. Just google for you card type and you will get to know how they cover with the rental cars

Thank you for submitting your completed Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver Benefit claim

form. We have carefully reviewed the information provided to date and note that additional

documents are required to promptly process your claim. Please assist us by providing the

following:

 A copy of the Incident Report taken at the time of the incident.

 A copy of your automobile insurance policy's Declarations Page(s) effective on the date

of the incident to confirm your coverage and your deductible. If you were not insured

on the date of the incident please supply a notarized letter stating such.

 A letter from the rental agency itemizing the amount of the claim.

 A copy of the itemized estimate of repair or appraisal detailing the repairs made to the

rental vehicle.

 The Final Rental Agreement verifying the return of the vehicle and the final rental

charges.

 A copy of the Initial Automobile Rental Agreement.

 A copy of the monthly billing statement and copy of receipt verifying that the rental

transaction was applied to the covered card.

 Photographs of the damage to the rental vehicle, if available.

 A copy of the travel package prepaid voucher and a copy of your travel package

invoice.

We will try to expedite the processing of your claim. However, during the course of our

investigation and evaluation of your claim, it may become necessary for us to request

additional documentation. In order to remain eligible for claim payment, all documents must be

postmarked no later than 365 days from the incident date. If we do not receive the information

within the specified time frame, your claim may be closed.

Please return a copy of this letter with the requested information in the enclosed envelope to:
