Us Customs Declaration Form Meat Products Ke Yes Pettali Ah?

If we are carrying chicken/mutton pickles from India to US , should we mention it customs declaration form that we are carrying animal products
should we check that column as YES
anyone has any experience with that

i read in this forum that some one has been caught and had to pay some money , i had to convince some people so need some suggestions thanks

You declare customs in USA not in india while coming to america.......If you have meat products less than allowed amount, you will not have to worry in check in baggage...Yes they check carry on baggage based on your appearance at boarding area...Scanning in india is indian government responsibility not usa outside the airport.....Once the baggage enters into transit zone, the laws are governed by international agreements...They will scan the bags...They will open and checks...if they found meat products, then they look for the label for ingredients..if everything looks good (unopened, sealed from factory with label), they wont say anything....something is wrong, then you will be interviewed at POE.........So its upto you.

we pack pickles ( chicken , mutton , shrimps ) in swagruha , they use thick covers to make a package
but ekkade Andhra friends lo chadivanu that some one bought Meat pickles and customs caught him because he did not declare and he was fined ani

NO .. ani pettu.... nee meat pickles anni 3 layer plastic cover lo pettu ... neeku gurhtu kosam Telugu lo raasko Chicken ani.. adhi kuda rayaka pothe best.... ye gola vundadhu... with that 3 layers kukkalu kuda vasana pasi gatta levu.....

Naa bagging check chesaru.... kani found out that oka sweet box break ayyindhi packing sarigga leka... otherwise kukkalu kuda smell cheyalevu....
