I am using vonage from last 5 yrs.But they have increased fee from $20 to $35 gradually in name of taxes
Last month I have moved to OOMA and I am paying $13 every month,with only 1000 international min.Extra mins will be charged at $.08/min
But I rarely go beyond 1000 mins.So it is ok for me
BTW ,OOMA has Free unlimited USA Calling

If you don't want international mins.,it is actually free to call anywhere in USA free (unlimited).But you have to pay gov't taxes between $2 to $7 (varies according to state)
The drawback is you have to purchase the OOMA device.It will cost around $120 to $140
