You cant change your father dude. He has developed a state called Enigma due to dominance by your mother or someone and being treated as having low self-esteem. You should be sympathetic to your father and try to take manage things in the family. That he will gain energy day by day by having confidence on you. u shld face situation and deal with it rather getting urself depressed abt it. Tht's the solution man otherwise once u get wife and become distant from him, he undergoes lot of stress.

May be you are right. But I tried my level best to change. It is getting little better these days. But when I hear situation, my depression is reaching peaks.
