Hi Friends,
This is an imaginary scenario, which 99.99% of us will never have to face. Please note that this thread is not for the faint-hearted..only if you have a lot of guts and fortitude, you may go ahead.

Kindly note that I do not wish to hurt anyone by this.

Since I want both the ladies and gentlemen to participate, I have kept this as gender-neutral as possible.

ABC is a well-settled middle-aged retired person, with liberal thinking, a good marriage, financial security and commands respect in the community. Grown-up children : a boy and a girl are well-settled in their careers.

Broaching the topic of marriage of the elder offspring (XYZ) is always met with excuses, followed by resistance. Naturally, as any parent would, ABC assumes that the child is in love, and keeps pestering for more information.

On knowing the truth, ABC is completely shattered..In fact, that would be an understatement..
This is what the child had told about the person s/he loved sincerely, and wished to marry:
Own brother / sister.

Of course this is absolutely blasphemous..
But this is happening.. and is the truth and not some bad nightmare which will disappear in the morning.

To add fuel to the fire, the siblings also had intimate relationship with each other, and have firmly stated that they will NOT be without each other. They are aware of all possible medical and legal complications as well.

Putting yourself in ABC's shoes, share your inputs on how would you react to this situation.

Please Note - sibling marriages were common amongst the ancient Egyptian royalty.

Waiting to hear from you.

if i am ABC i will do this as said by other db member will ask both of them to go for counseling and will explain how the society looks at them wat r the possible problems etc. even after counseling if they want to marry then i don't have any problem

the solution is to ask the sister to disappear...tell everybody that she is dead...ask the sister to change face...face off situation or evadu situation..and then marry both of them....problem solved....

hmm sadly newer gens r adapting to dis situation due to westernization, anyways if I was in ABC's situation, I would recommend them to be as far apart as possible, probably one person in india n da other person abroad, they ll find their soulmates n eventually will know their mistakes n gather the courage to ignore the past.

Incest is the word.

Genetic problems challa untayi ilanti relations, death rate is increased to twice and after certain age sadly there is nothing really parents can do about it other than sending them for counseling..
