1980 African Blockbuster To Be Remade In Hindi

But for some change Bollywood makers have started to look beyond South for remake ideas and Dang this Hollywood blockbuster couldn't miss their eyes.

God Must be Crazy, the African super hit movie of 1980 now becomes the Bollywood’s talk of the town. MJ Ramanan has eyed the English movie and decided to go ahead with a Hindi remake of the 1980’s The Gods Must Be Crazy.

The original was written and directed by Jamie Uys, and was a documentary styled comic flick about Kalahari tribesmen of South Africa who never knew life existed beyond them and how their lives change post a coke bottle dropped from aircraft found by tribesman in the area.

It is learnt that while they have the key ideas from the original the Hindi remake version will have a tweaked story line though. So instead of a coke bottle, it’d be a cellphone of a terrorist having vital information.

The remake will have Paresh Rawal and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. We are unable to visualize how it will turn out to be, but with someone like Paresh you can expect nothing short of a rib tickler.
