cricket world cup was held in 1987 and then it was played in 1992 and then in 1996 and then in 1999...why is there not an orderly difference between the years?

due to seasonal difference ...they were played few months later but due to change in Yr gap

it looks like it played after 5 Yrs but the fact is it played after 4 Yrs and few months later

u are correct...its counted as 4 summers of next hosting nation from the last played wc ...1987 lo indian subcontinent lo ayyindhi.....then australina summer is from dec to feb so it took place in 1991/1992 season....

and then india 1996 and then in england in 1999
