A teacher couple from Gorakhpur in UP had turned down his ‘expression of interest’ which he had sent last night to a beautiful girl through a popular matrimonial website. Neeraj, who works with Microsoft as a Senior R&D Engineer, got the next dose of shock when he read the small note with the rejection. “, we want a groom working either in Government sector or in reputed companies such as Tata, Wipro, and Infosys. Those who don’t, and/or instead work in some random a-b-c company, refrain from approaching for a match. Because there is just no match, if your job doesn’t match”, was the specific content of the message. Neeraj didn’t quite like the message that referred Microsoft as a random company and slowly the disappointment was turning into anger. “But I also didn’t want to either swallow the anger or give back a piece of my mind, as that would surely mean losing the girl who I really wanted to meet with a ‘positive’ mind”, Neeraj confessed to Mocking Now. “The 25-year old Pratima is just doing her MSW, but she is beautiful. I could console myself had she herself rejected me, because she deserved the best. Even after sending the request, I kept on browsing through her pictures for good one hour”, Neeraj was candid in admitting. “What soft?” said an already-irritated voice from the other side, when Neeraj, after gathering enough courage, called and told that he was working with Microsoft. “I tried to explain it’s a very good company, develops very useful software, and pays well, but uncle was not willing to listen. He kept on harping that he didn’t want anything less than Tata, Wipro, and Infy”, Neeraj failed to force a conversation. “The only good thing I could get from that phone call was Pratima’s personal email id”, told Neeraj, who didn’t want to let this match go away so easily, knowing how difficult it was to find a suitable partner in his community. “Pratima and I have exchanged a few emails and she seems to understand what I say. Let’s see how it goes”, added Neeraj, to whom Pratima’s mobile number still eludes
