person1: A lot of Indians I worked with are trying to become managers, and many of them succeded. And when they do, they like to bring their own in to work for them. Ever since I ended up working for two Indian managers, I now don't have to really think at work, I am micromanaged and told what to do.

Ok , for all those ppl who still believe in an ideal world: why are there ppl showing fake resumes?...let me explain the whole ecosystem...

eg: Citigroup going through Kforce to hire a contractor.....kforce goes to a desi company MARLABS.....

Now, citi does not want to hire permanent IT staff, cause it wants to save money and not have the liability of a FTE (US regulations have made it difficult to hire FTE's )

CuLPRIT: Governments business unfriendliness because of which it becomes difficult to hire FTE and temps directly on the payroll ,
Citigroup's cost saving agenda (GREED)

The citi manager chose KForce over others ( HE probably gets more kickbacks from KFORCE over others, so he is also greedy for money), plus he wants a person who wont try to supersede his authority and his position is safe...he desires a person who wont flinch at long hours and tight schedule.....wont take too many vacations....plus can easily communicate with offshore guys and wont talk much with management.......basically he wants an INDIAN....

Now kforce also wants to avoid all the bad things of FTE position just like citi and so goes to MARLABS and gets a desi consultant......they already know that the resumes are fake , but would still get a desi consultant cause they are are able to get good margins as the consultant is paid the minimum LCA amount....

so, citi releases 80./hr....kforce gives 50/hr to MARLABS and the consultant gets say 35/hr , out of which 10/hr goes to US govt as tax.......so for the consultant a 80/hr job is equivalent to 25/hr job ........hmmmm....interesting isnt it........

A person fresh from university certainly deserves a 60 k per year job and thats about how much he gets.....plus he has to deal with h1 rules and bench time and the stress of a 8 year resume work expectation......

In this whole scenario the **bleep**s who make money are: US govt, Client manger, preferred vendor, H1 sponsoring company .......please note all of these are Greedy american ppl not gullible desi students whose only crime was that they thought they could make a good life in america by studying .....believe it or not most of them are taught to make fake resumes by the above ppl.....ppl in india dont have as much fake stuff as desis in america, cause your ideal american ecosystem fosters such behavior...And you know what, right from the vendor to the client everybody knows that you have fake experience...even then they hire desis.....why?cause the job actually needs only a couple of years of experience .....they show the requirement of 8 years so that the client can justify releasing more money ...so that these **bleep**s can become rich.....basically in the name of contracting you are selling american jobs......but then the people who do this are americans and not indian students...about 10 years back or so these things did not happen....so, were indians very honest back then and not today....NO....your ecosystem for IT was not so bad back then as it is today......

If it was easy to get a full time psoition, get h1 sponsorship , get greencard , no desi student would show fake resume.....but you force them into doing such things.....and these are the very reasons why the consultants are mute in office.......cause they are just biding their time before they get their greencards.....if they try to show some aspirations then they would promptly be shown the door.......We are docile by force and not by choice....

So all those ppl crying out loud stop blaming desi students and consultants and catch culprits like the bigtime vendors Kforce , comsys,teksystems and the client mangers and H1 companies who all work hand in glove with each other......You get what you ask for....if a 22 year old is faking a resume and you are not able to catch him in an interview , then the manager is an **bleep** and should be fired.....i guess if a 22 year old can carry off a 8 year resume then he is more smarter than all you guys out there...and certainly deserves the position...

Please note that I love this country as much as anyone else and dont support faking resumes, but you need to be labelling charges at the right people who are selling off this beautiful country piece by piece every day.......[/color]
