only a certain percentage.

it's not going to benefit TG people much. the only difference will be that rent seeking goondas with political support will be Telanganites, rather than the current Andhra ones in Hyd.

The smarter the goondas, the better will be the development. It happened with Shiv Sena in Mumbai. Changed the face of the city in the 1960s with their anti communist worker unions.

Can KCR be the next Bal Thackeray or is he too timid, will probably be important for Hyd's further development.

Pretty sure, he's going to play anti-andhra politics for a long time even after TG is given.

It'll be interesting to see if he's smart enough to ensure good industrial, business environment in Hyderabad inspite of his politics.

literacy rates are almost similar among TG and Andhra regions, i.e. both are very poor.

It'd have been better if there were scholarly studies on TG issues. All I see is a lot of noise on both sides.

Rayalaseema requires the most attention among all regions if it comes to being fair.

Telangana region backwardness ki historical reasons unnayi. Its unfair to blame Andhra people for their backwardness, when Nizam didn't invest much in education and forced its population to speak foreign language and treated non muslims as second class citizens (PV Narasimha Rao himself mentions this in his book)

Just compare it to Travancore maharani who invested over 20% of the state's finances into education, and see the current kerala's achievement in the field of education.

No Doubt on that, as a State we suck on the literacy rate. But for a lot of people it has become a fashion to say TG people need to work hard to get jobs, as if they are sleeping today, & someone is taking care off'em. To address basic needs I feel enough studies have been conducted, however the implementation never happens.

Agreed, may be true, but all this is from before independence & its been 60 odd years, we still want to blame the Nizam for the state of things today.I'm not blaming Andhra people for this, I'm just saying the govt in so many years have not done anything significant.

I agree, there have been some unnecessarily arrogant comments from the Andhra side.

yeah, that's why i have pointed out that Andhra region has similar literacy rates, so its not that only TG people have been discriminated. We just don't spend enough on education and healthcare and sanitation. We should learn from Travancore kings, and not from idiot Nizams and the Brits.

Lets hope separate TG will be prosperous like the people dreamed it would be. I'm sure with a few adjustments (initially harder), Andhra will be very prosperous. Not sure about Rayalaseema though. I'm from there :)
