i didt join..but i do knw people who joined tana..they do collect money from the members for emergency needs. They help a lot for the needy health wise and immigration wise...thats why people donate them aweful lot of money....even you can donate with out membership...The organization of such associations is not easy..its common to get in the way by caste and jealousy..you need to ignore cause they really work on the weekends for the associations so they want credit for that.
