He's my favourite Indian director.

Iruvar flop tharuvatha vaadiki edho ayyinattu undi.. although the movie is appreciated now.

he didn't quite grow intellectually in the past decade, and it shows in his movies. his direction seems confused for the past few movies.

Telugulo, Mani range ki unna current crop directors chala thakkuva.. 1 or 2 only.. like Yeleti and Deva katta. Tamil lo, nobody can be compared with him.

He'll always be remembered fondly, atleast by me, as the man who gave Tamil cinema, 'Iruvar'. Incredible movie.
