Taking it an advantage, Western Investors are trying to impose unacceptable demands on FDI, like Walmart that is forcing Indian Govt to scrap a Law that 30% of products should be sourced locally. And these demands go on and on.

India does not have a fiscal problem. It is largely self made at this point. Do remember that RBI can increase liquidity to fund whatever public projects Central govt has set its eyes on. The problem is investor confidence, not just FDI, but domestic investment which is 3 times higher than FDI. Most of the investment was in mining, ports and power in the last decade, and some in IT. Most of these investments have hit roadblocks for various reasons.

India doesn't make any product worth its salt, because of low levels of literacy, and in some cases horrible business environment, especially with respect to labour laws. I know a bunch of electronic component manufacturers in shenzen, thailand, who are Indian.
