Bigdata Career Prospects Any Idea ?

Any idea how is tech market..approx billing ? People are talking good abt it...not sure any dbians are working..one of the tool is hadoop...like there are many..so is it worth spending time ?? I have to learn java for that i will but if its crowded like .net java no point in wasting time..please share any first hand info

thanks for your suggestion.. i am already working on some technology and accumulated some x exp.. so now changing career is it worth ? its all based on the what we get.. if some one who is working we can get better idea.. thats the idea of thread..if you know any info please try to share..

you may have more oppurtunities but don't expect better pay ... it may be the same... nenu big data meedha storage side work chesthunaa .. there is no better pay ... i heard the same from developers too
dabbulu expect chesi technology maralanukunte this is not for you ...
one more thing big data is not for every company .. not many comapnies need it.
