Speaking with media, TDP chief urged Centre to make immediate arrangements such that a new capital will be developed for Andhra state. Naidu felt that at least 2-4 lakh crores are required to develop this new capital like another Hyderabad that consists of IT hub, premiere education institutions, international airport, convention cenres and other infrastructure. 'Though there are two states now for Telugu speaking people, the point is that all these Telugu people should stay united', Naidu added. He felt that this is not the time to talk about political game played by Congress in sanctioning Telangana, but recalled that it is TDP who first supported the cause of Telangana by writing a letter to Centre in 2008.
