Finally i got my visa approved!! I would like to thank all the people who posted their interviews and the group admin!
1st attempt - Chennai consulate
Interview Date:19-06-2013
Status: Rejected

2nd Interview Date: July 25 2013
Consulate: Hyderabad, Time: 8:00
Counter: 16, A fat lady in her late 40s
Status: Approved

Profile: B.TECH CSE - 55.78% Backlogs - 15
GRE - 295
IELTS - 6.5
Valparaiso University - Master's in IT

Me: Good Morning mam! ( with a broad smile)
Vo: Good Morning!
Me: How are you mam?
Vo: I'm good! How about you?
Me: Im fine mam thanks! (With a smile)
Vo: Pass me you passport please
Me: yea mam! (Passed)
Vo: Which year pass out?
Me: 2012 mam
Vo: What's your UG precentage?
Me: 55.78% mam
Vo: Backlogs?
Me: 15 mam
Vo: Can i see you mark sheets?
Me: Yea mam! Gave her the PC, CMM and individual mark sheets ( kept final sem's
memo first )
Vo: (counted the backlogs roughly and said JNTU han!) So, you cleared all the
backlogs in final year!
Me: Yes mam! (Smiling)
Vo: Okey! Wait I'll be back in a minute!
Me: Sure mam! ( Smiling )
Vo: (Turned off the mic and went inside for a minute) Alright! TELL ME ONE STRONG
REASON WHY SHOULD I APPROVE YOUR VISA?
Me: Mam i din't study well for the first 4 semesters but later i realized my mistake
and took studies seriously and in the final semester i secured 73%. Just give me
a chance mam i want to prove myself and my family and a grade degree from
the United States would help me to get a job in top MNCs in India like Infosys.
Mam give me a chance i won't let to down. ( She was impressed with the
answer )
Vo: Okey! (typing typing) Suddenly an Indian lady came and stood behind the VO. The
VO turned back and asked her, are you waiting for me? Indian lady said yes! Then
VO said okey let me finish this guy
Me: (Smiling)
Vo: What other universities have you applied to?
Me: Two mam! UMHB and SHU
Vo: ok! ( Typing typing)
Me:
Vo: Place your left hand four fingers on the scanner
Me: Ok mam! (placed left hand four fingers)
Vo: ( Came little close to the glass and said ) "I'M APPROVING YOUR VISA"
Me: Ohh! Thank you mam thank you soo much! (Smiling smiling)
Vo: You're welcome (smiled)
Me: Once again thank you soo much mam! Have a nice day ( Left the counter blushing )

Note - Please DO NOT wear casual clothes (Wear neat formals) and maintain proper body language. Be confident and keep smile on your face!

Documents checked - None! No DS160 form, no sevis and axis bank receipt, no GRE no IELTS nothing
