narsayya Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 More than the car, I like what Tesla's doing with the powertrain components. That's real innovation. Anyone can make a car. But Tesla's looking ahead for being a major component shop. The price is still too high, even with around $11k of govt subsidy for a car. May be they are afraid to setup plants in china, India to protect their intellectual property.
narsayya Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 I'm sure the chinese are going to come up with a better electric car, since most of the auto industry is concentrated in east asia now. Tesla should make its move to China now, to succeed.
