If the screen is broken on personal mistake, the warranty is not covered.. If the issue with the phone itself.. warranty is covered..

In my opinion..

1. taking insurance is the one option .. you may have to pay the premium and the deductible (max $50)
2. Buy lcd screen replacement from ebay (max $30)
