dts chala old .. ssis chala easy to develop and code .. ssis lo undevi anne DTS lo kuda untay kani coding koncham ekuva .. not that user friendly and DTS lo chala thakuva operations untay ..ssis lo chala transformations untay .. usually DTS project undi antey ade conversion to SSIS project untadi .. which means components match chesi DTSX build cheyali .. error handiling avanni chala different untadi .. ssis pretty simple ..

Ya SSIS is pretty faster and simple I agree but 2000 lo create chesina items anni DTS loki veltai and may be he / she is trying to migrate them to 2005 r 2008 emo.. Just an assumption.. inka only development on 2000 antava, I am also not very much aware but try cheyyali oka sari.. chuddam how it goes..
