I am presently involved in Low level design , physical design and also I have received few documents from my architect. Please suggest me

How to categorize the documents i received from him. I have never involved in business and technical, design level.

Please assist me a good book to kick off on these subjects.

if you have .edu account register dreamspark. get access to pluralsight.com, it has good tutorials on Software design pattern and SDC. Better than reading a book.
