Cap Gap Validity Period Help Plzzz !

Hi Friends can u please let me know if our H1 petition is still in pending and the result wont come upto OCT 1st will our cap gap will extend or we eligible to carry n with job or not...

Na situation ela undi 2 weeks bck RFE vachindi may be Sept 1st varaki docs pamputha...Normal processing lo 1 mnth lopala result ravadam kastam so OCT 1st varaki raka pothe ela....E situation lo ela handle cheyali ??? Premium vakate na option ??

Pls let me know ur comments enka evaru anna unara elanti situation valu present ??

you will lose you work permit after October 1 if you are on CAP GAP.

If you have not used OPT extension, you can file it and work before the decision is made.

if u dont know the status of ur h1 application...ur opt cap gap wud continue till the result of ur application is known

cap gap is to bridge the cap between ur H1 startdate(OCT 1ST) and ur previous status ending date(which shud be after april1 st)

cap gap is issued until only sep 30 .after sep 30th u shud stop working(technically)Check ur i20 for end date

u can stay in the country legally until the decision is obtained

I still have option of Stem Extension do you know any one of ur friends applied Stem OPT in Cap Gap...Is their any risk if we will apply in this period..

Pls let me know or can u ping me ur num will talk t u once

My college informed me that i cant work until the decision is made after Cap gap !!

If you are eligible and ur univ gives Stem Extension I20 ( After CAP-GAP I20), then it is better to apply for STEM Extension. you can work upto 6 months with pending STEM extension petition.
