[size=4]We all know Right to information Act which is the most powerful tool of a
citizen in India. It is now losing its major arrow in its quiver. The
government of India is overturning the decision of Central information
commission which ruled to include political parties in RTI.

The government should and can only do that if an emergency arises in the
country, which clearly is not now. The congress cabinet already approved
the amendment and it is about to introduce in the August 6th parliamentary
session. It might clear the vote as no political party as of now wants to
be included in RTI and allow transparency.

We have called, emailed and done everything to persuade the MPs to give
the RTI amendments Bill a good rethink. In vain. Now we have only one
option left. To ask the Speaker of the Lok Sabha to stall voting on the
Bill and refer it to a Standing/Select Committee. But we need to amplify
our voices and whip up massive public support to get the speaker to act. So
please sign this petition to the speaker of Lok Sabha. And share. We need
at least 100000 signatures to get this Bill marching to the Committee.
