simple bhayya.....i will try to give you some shorth insight of what exactly is happening

imports increasing and exports decreasing......which leads to increase in current account deficit.....so RBI needs more dollars to reduce current account deficit....usually foreign reserve nuchi they(RBI) pump in some dollars into market for importers to pay dollars for theirs clients .......
so RBI should have coverage of at least 3yrs ......now every month india's deficit is around $30billion and foreign reserve is around $290billion....so at current rate indias foreign reserv lasts for only 9- 10 months if pumped in @30billion per month which is not feasible and not practical......so there is no sufficient foreign reserves...so RBI implementing other measures reduce deficit like

1. reduce imports.....idi kastam bcoz
our oil usage is increasing day by day and
manam gold konadam thagginchamu...
also we depend on foreign goods....like coke,pepsi, battalu(ippudu anni branded vaduthunnaru)
2. welcome foreign investors...idi kuda kastam coz
fdi bill lo chaala litigations unnai
indian stock market nunchi foreign investors jump coz developed markets like usa giving good returns
3. increase exports........this might be achievable but not to large extend....

so adi matter.....india somehow should earn more dollars for rupee value to increase which is a dream now
