yup update cheyali.. send your new i94 details to your employer .. so that he will fwd it to your attorney ..
eventhough i94 changes can be viewed through online .. u still have to report about the change to USCIS

after June 2013, I94 became online.. so at POE, the officer update ur records at online. You have to get that i94 number and valid date (mostly visa end date as of present rules) to ur employer for his records.
You don't need to update USCIS personally..
your employer has to take care of that, not u.

u have to give latest I94.

actually when you leave US either by air/water, your carrier companies give the data to border security that these people are travelling with these passport numbers. So within 3days govt update their records that u left country and ur old I94 will be lapsed. Once u reentered, u get new I94. so that new i94 status will be updated automatically now. But for your employer records you have to give ur new i94 to employer.

Note: one exception is, if you are travelling to canada or carribean islands and returning less than a month time then ur I94 will not change.
