RGV daughter's wedding - A simple, low-key affair
Unlike most filmi weddings that is all about glitz, glam and over-the-top celebrations, Ram Gopal Varma's daughter's nuptials was a simple, low-key affair. RGV's daughter, Revathi, tied the knot with beau Pranav in a traditional South Indian ceremony, on Thursday evening at a star hotel in the city. The ceremony saw around 250 guests, mostly family and close friends, with a few Tollywood stars in attendance.

In keeping with the bride's wishes for a simple ceremony, even the decor was minimal and classy. With not too many high profile guests in attendance, there was no crowd of media personnel outside the venue. The bride had categorically asked her father not to invite those she did not know personally.

But all eyes were on RGV. And the father-of-the-bride did not disappoint. In keeping with his quirkiness, RGV was the most dressed-down person from the family. Clad in a blue kurta-shirt and black pants, the filmmaker stood by the entrance welcoming his guests and keeping them company, but stayed away from the mandapam, where the marriage ceremony took place.

The only time RGV went up to the mandapam was to bless the newly-weds. He even refused to take family pictures, save a couple, after much persuasion from the family photographer. From Tollywood those who were present were Rana Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya, Lakshmi Manchu, Ravi Teja, JD Chakravarthy, Jayasudha, and Charmmee, among others.

The ceremony concluded by 9.30 pm, and RGV, along with his filmi guests left the venue. Meanwhile, the newly-weds along with RGV's former wife, Ratna, greeted everyone personally.
