Truth_Believer Posted August 19, 2013 Report Posted August 19, 2013 There was only diversity and never any unity anytime.just bcoz british won over our kings and created india to get control on administration doesnt mean we were united. Today people r just showing their true self by going back to pre british era (I.e. breaking into small pieces)

narsayya Posted August 19, 2013 Report Posted August 19, 2013 The strongest unifying factor for our country, its culture, also commonly called as Hinduism, is being mocked at, weakened at every turn. You can't expect anything but chaos, and indifference to anything else. Just be thankful we haven't turned out like kashmiri muslims who butchered and drove away the cowardly pandits. Or it may happen sometime in the future. The only difference is, muslims will fight back unlike Hindus, who'll settle down in the US/Canada and write blogs and whine about how awesome their childhood memories are. If you want something fight for it, or just shut up and mind your business. You have no business judging others.

The unity among Hindus is ethereal, something hard to understand for people who admire the unity that bears violence among Muslims and christians. Hindus just need to find a cultural voice to fight against injustices and not be ashamed of their history, which seculars like to remind Hindus again and again to put them down. Many of them who tried to conquer them have not succeeded, British and the Muslims.

Do you think Muslims/ Xians are united? Try to learn more about them. Anyway Hindus can't be compared to other religions. At best as a cultural group sharing a few commonalities across regions. Say, like Europe, without the christianity.
narsayya Posted August 19, 2013 Report Posted August 19, 2013 Anyway to stick to the original topic, our culture is being mocked at, derided at home, and internationally. Naturally, people will revert to something they can hold on to strongly, which is caste, religion etc. no wonder, india is getting more and more intolerant. The only solution is to found a Hindu state. It doesn't mean Hindus have to be united. It only means they recognize the commonalities and build a system that's fair for everyone, including muslims, xians.

[/quote] you have no clue what you are saying. Whatever changes we went through, it will be a speck of dust, if we become united and start behaving like muslims and xians. It's the last thing hindus should want to become, to destroy their own individual traditions. reservation exists in many societies under different names. Not just among Hindus. Higher lower caste anedi pseudo reality na? Aithe what is the reality? That everyone's born equal? It's not possible unless in homogenous societies like northern europe. And certainly not possible for a huge number of people to be homogenous. It just doesn't make sense. Division is inevitable, and the only way the weak have a chance against the mighty. Again stop comparing other religions with Hindu culture. Btw, you might want to look up on how many different sects of Islam and Xianity exists. may be you accept the -ves of history, don't count me in. I don't accept any responsibility to whatever happened in history, because most of it is not true. Its better to look at the present, and recognize what has to be done. Hindus will evolve and form new groups, some old groups will be destroyed. Its the natural process. The only thing Hindus should not do is listen to people who claim to be secular, and fight for what they want, sometimes with violence if necessary especially when the Indian state refuses to support you.

Hinduism is not being attacked but it is diluted by our own members. Hinduism forms the emotinal fabric to the world, I will explain like this, it may sound a bit absurd. There are four major elements that form life (Air, Fire, Water, Earth). Air is like Buddism and Jainism, Fire is like Islam, Water is like Hinduism and Earth is like Christianity. Coming to the topic, people have to understand India, Unity in Diversity is not what people see as. Rather proper Unity in Diversity is seen in USA rather than India. What Nehru did is a different thing, he want to keep the momentum of the feeling of being united going and with time many things diminish so is our feeling. The emotional fabric is already lost in the administrative system. India was build on great personalities prior to Independence, after Independence that inspiration lost like an orgasm. If India once again needs to be 'united', the emotional fabric needs to be rebuild into beuraucrats and politicians, just like USA how system follows discipline irrespective of how divided people seem to be
