[color=#000000][font=Lato, sans-serif]A division bench comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice K.C. Bhanu was dealing with a PIL by J.P. Rao, an advocate, urging the HC to direct the Centre to impose President’s Rule in AP.[/font][/color]
[color=#000000][font=Lato, sans-serif]The Chief Justice said “the court will issue the writ of mandamus if a government organisation fails in its duties. As for imposition of President’s rule, the Governor is empowered to act on it. The bench granted a week to to examine the legal provisions to assist the court to deal with the PIL. The matter was adjourned to August 26.[/font][/color]

Bhanu on Monday directed the government to start negotiations with junior doctors with an open mind. The bench appreciated the doctors for calling off their strike while dealing with a petition by Lala Ramu of Hyderabad against the strike.[/font][/color]
