How To Cancel Ameircan Airlines Ticket..please Please Please Help

i have an American Airlines ticket from SFO to East Coast..but I dont want to go now, becuase my friend is done with his contract there and he already came to my place in CAlifornia...

Earlier we thought we meet there for ling weekend...

I also can not just go there, because I have a ticket....

can you please please please let me know,what should I do to cancel that ticket...???

follow the steps..

1. take travel insurance.
2. Go to doctor the date before travel and get the doctor certificate
3. After getting the letter, call the travel insurance..
4. Travel insurance will suggest to cancel the flight.. by calling airlines..
5. You cancel the ticket
6. You file claim
7. wait for 30 - 60 days.. you can get the money..

when I called customer care..she said, I bought a non-refundable and non-tranfarable ticket...she also said, she can help me to get the credit..and I should only use that credit..on one else can use that...

that's the only option you have.. take credit and use it in future..

some where from on-line..dont remember exactly..but it should be from the on-line only..and mostly from the airlines web only
