I am not talking about farmers here.... they need their subsidies. But, you see the prices... when rice is selling at 40 rupees per KG in the market, they intend to give it to 3 rupees per kg. Now, most of the rice will be purchased by Government by using the 5000 crore an year, the outer market will have short of supply.. Rice prices will increase. This 3 rupees per kg and all those will be given to only White card holders or Below poverty line people, who wouldn't bother about taxes. The midde class are screwed here.. increase in taxes, at the same time increase in rice prices. And in our country and state, we know how many rich ppl in villages have white ration cards and how many ppl earning unaccountable money in petty businesses like tea shop, Bajji stall, auto drivers will be under below poverty line, but will be earning more than a software engineer in hyderabad. See how the food is misused just for votes.
