[b]Kolkata:[/b][color=#333333][font=Georgia,] A ‘box bomb’ today exploded in the busy Chandni Chowk area in Central Kolkata creating panic in the locality during peak office hours. [/font][/color]


[color=#333333][font=Georgia,]Police, however, said there was no casualty. They said that a box, which was lying near the crossing of Central Avenue and Madan street, suddenly exploded in the busy area, where people were on way to their offices. [/font][/color]

[color=#333333][font=Georgia,]Police immediately rushed to the area along with the city police Bomb Squad and sniffer dogs to ascertain if any other bombs remained planted around the place. [/font][/color]

[color=#333333][font=Georgia,]“Fortunately, there is no casualty or injury in the incident. An investigation is on,” the police said. [/font][/color]

[color=#333333][font=Georgia,]“Preliminary investigation reveals that the incident was not a serious one. Normalcy has been restored in the entire area,” the police said.[/font][/color]
