The Ministry of Home Affairs is likely to suggest Union Territory status for [url="http://ibnlive.in.com/newstopics/hyderabad.html"]Hyderabad[/url], according to sources. They also said that Vishakhapatnam and Vijaywada are front runners for Seemandhra capital.

Sources said on Monday that the capital should be a city with an airport, hence these two cities of Vishakhapatnam and [url="http://ibnlive.in.com/newstopics/vijaywada.html"]Vijaywada [/url]are being considered for the moment.

The remarks came in the backdrop of the continuous protest by Seemandhara MPs over [url="http://ibnlive.in.com/newstopics/telangana.html"]Telangana [/url]in Parliament. The Monsoon Session has been marred with repeated adjournments over the issue.

Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde had on Monday said that the Cabinet note on Telangana is being prepared and will soon be sent to the Law Ministry. After an approval from the Law Ministry, it will be put forward in the Cabinet. The Home Minister has given a time frame of 20 days to present the note before the Cabinet.

The process of formation of separate Telangana state is expected to gain momentum after the conclusion of the Monsoon Session of [url="http://ibnlive.in.com/newstopics/parliament.html"]Parliament [/url]on September 6.

Four TDP MPs and five Congress MPs from [url="http://ibnlive.in.com/newstopics/andhra.html"]Andhra [/url]Pradesh have been suspended for five days from the Lok Sabha while two TDP MPs in Rajya Sabha have been suspended for the day for protesting over the issue.

Unruly scenes were witnessed in Parliament on Monday with Congress MPs and TDP MPs abusing each other. Meanwhile, there have been continuous protest in Seemandhara with the state witnessing bandhs regularly. As soon as the Congress Working Committee endorsed the decision for separate state of Telangana, there have been protest by the party MPs and TDP MPs. Even Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy did not want to divide the state.
