jbourne Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013
Dude, mind your language before you write something. Nadal, and Djokovic are also the greatest players in this era. They came to this position only after beating Federer. They put very high standards that no one was able to match them these days. Don't write whatever crap you think. Its easier said than done. Its not just aggression that win matches. paampachak Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013
Kudos to Nadal for being what he is. But I don't like his style of play. That's not why I watch tennis, anyway i watch it rarely these days. Tennis has today evolved into exactly the kind of game you describe here. Almost all players play like Nadal these days, but without his extreme forehand grip that may simply break one's wrist if others tried it. It's okay if there are a combination of attacking and defensive players. But everyone wants to win, and have changed their game, so it looks like boxing match than a tennis match. Which is why I said I hate these two players for exemplifying that kind of game. Anyway, I think tennis is slowly dying in the west. Viewership wise atleast, apart from Asia where its picking up. But many still like to play it as a hobby like me. narsayya Posted September 5, 2013 Author Report Posted September 5, 2013
anyways vaadu entha kasta padda...Nadal daggariki vache sariki damaal antaadu ..unless he plays with great timing & sharpness in all shots..he can't beat Nadal though he might beat other players..!!!!
yeah He can't beat Nadal. Only his backhand is good, rest of his game is useless, including his movement when he's under pressure.

narsayya Posted September 5, 2013 Author Report Posted September 5, 2013
Like economics, like traffic eventually everything takes diversion from micro to macro, local routes to Interstate, from kirana to corporate
the problem is with training techniques by the coaches at the junior level. Nick Bollettieri's academy in the US started it off, after successfully creating Agassi. Every player from that institute played like Agassi. It's like they unlocked the key to success in tennis. Now almost all US players suck at tennis. Lol. Europeans are much better, except Spanish, who have been at this conditioning business in tennis much before the US. So all their players resemble each other with their games. Few exceptions like Verdasco, Nadal come to mind from there. Australia is a tennis dumpyard these days. Only Bernard Tomic has had any success, and their players at junior level suck too much. French and Germans are quite creative, and a number of east european players coming through will probably help tennis' diversity in the future. I've been to some junior, future level tournaments, and have found some gorgeous games there. But I think they won't make it to the main tennis tournaments, because they need exceptional talent (something like federer) or lots of government support (like murray, gasquet) to beat the robot players on tour or to get a wildcard at one of the big tournaments.
