Once the kids are 18 years old,,,, you have no place in their decision making.
Its not like India, where we take our parents to the place we work,, or we find work where our parents live...
This is not the case in US,,, even in your 60's ,one has to earn for their medical insurances.....
The model here ,,, earn your best ,,, get as much as money in federal pension.....you wont depend on kids...
Returning India is good for your own too....
imagine ---Car insurance,, medical insurance at age of 60,,, with no income...

This is a big topic with lots of personal preferences.. we can't really generalize this ..

But as far as I know, 80% of kids brought up here.. never wanted to go back.. even if they go by force.. it is very difficult to adjust in Indian environment. They will be bullied for the cultural difference and as a parent you will have no choice to come back.. US..

More over, the common tendency is to go to US for higher studies.. So, parents prefer US for higher studies and even if your cousin go back now, they may return when they are in collage .. but again, there are exceptions always..
