Hi All,

I am new to SSIS(Sql server integration services). I need your help on below issue.

I have to import data from a [b].txt[/b] file using SSIS package into sql server.[/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial,]
[b]HOW CAN WE FIND(KNOW) THE[/b][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial,]
[b]a) Format[/b][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial,]
[b]B) Text Qualifier[/b][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial,]
[b]c) Header row delimiter[/b][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial,]
[b]d) Row Delimiter[/b][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial,]
[b]e) Column Delimiter[/b][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Arial,]
of .txt file when defining the "Flat File connection manager Editor in SSIS"[/font][/color]

Default Values set avtai... You can also change according to you format..

CR LF ani options untai..
CR stands for carriage return.. antey enter is for next record..
LF stands for Linefeed..

Thanks india... so it will automatically detect the file properties while importing!! I have no intention to change default properties!!

yes depending on the source file, the delimiters are taken ,if you do not know the delimiters then we can use the ragged right feature defining your own delimiters

Usually while importing a text file through SSIS you will be provided specified delimiter an accordingly it would be tab most times.
