loveindia Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 Default Values set avtai... You can also change according to you format.. CR LF ani options untai.. CR stands for carriage return.. antey enter is for next record.. LF stands for Linefeed..

[/quote] Thanks india... so it will automatically detect the file properties while importing!! I have no intention to change default properties!! libraguy863 Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 yes depending on the source file, the delimiters are taken ,if you do not know the delimiters then we can use the ragged right feature defining your own delimiters
sri_sql Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 Usually while importing a text file through SSIS you will be provided specified delimiter an accordingly it would be tab most times.
